Production has been unavoidably delayed *** NIRIN NGAAY (A Wiradjuri word meaning ‘see’ is an edited volume of texts, including newly commissioned work, key existing texts which expand upon the themes of the Biennale, and artist contributions emerging from or related to their wider exhibition projects for the Biennale. It is curated closely to address the key themes of the 22nd Biennale of Sydney called NIRIN. Brook describes NIRIN, a Wiradjuri word meaning ‘edge’ as “NIRIN is not a periphery, it is our centre…NIRIN decentres, challenges and transforms dominant narratives…NIRIN is about moments of transition and a sense of being in the world that is interconnected.” - Commissioned by the Biennale of Sydney with generous support from Aesop and the Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund
